ADA Parking Lot Compliance & Striping in Myrtle Beach, SC

Faded Accessible Parking Is a Liability Waiting to Happen

Accessible parking that is faded, missing signage or laid out incorrectly is one of the most common reasons businesses receive ADA complaints and demand letters. CGC Surface Solutions inspects, lays out and marks accessible parking for businesses, HOAs, churches and commercial properties across the Grand Strand.

We check your stall count, aisle widths, signage and route to the entrance, then fix what is missing and document the work with photos. Call or text (843) 938-0201 for a free ADA parking check.

ADA Parking FAQs

How many accessible spaces does my lot need?

Under the 2010 ADA Standards it scales with lot size: 1 for lots of 1 to 25 spaces, 2 for 26 to 50, 3 for 51 to 75, 4 for 76 to 100, and more for larger lots.

What is a van-accessible space?

At least 1 of every 6 accessible spaces must be van-accessible, with a wider access aisle and a van-accessible sign.

Do I need signs, or are painted symbols enough?

Accessible spaces need posted signs. Painted symbols alone are not enough under the ADA Standards.

When do I have to update my parking?

Restriping or resurfacing a lot is a common point where ADA requirements must be met, so it is the right time to fix it.

Can you tell me if my lot is compliant?

We do a free check of stall count, aisles, signs and markings. For legal questions, consult your attorney or local code official.

Do you document the work?

Yes. You get before-and-after photos for your records, which is useful if your compliance is ever questioned.
